The Colorwayz spin method
- Preheat fully. Run your machine for 3 to 4 minutes until the spinner head is hot before adding any sugar.
- Go small. Add one level scoop per batch, not heaping. Small batches help the sugar melt evenly and spin into light floss.
- Keep batches light. Do not overfill the spinner head. Add more sugar only after the previous batch has finished spinning.
- Watch the floss. Light, airy wisps are perfect. If you notice yellowing or a sharp toasted smell, pause before adding more sugar.
- Let it recover. If the machine starts to smell toasty, let it run empty for about 30 seconds before starting the next batch.
